how we view it

the Job We do

"The horse didnt choose choose this job"

That is the foundation everything else is built on. Dressage at its best is not about making horses do things. It is about developing them so the work becomes easier, more natural, and genuinely comfortable.

Emily's training is systematic and progressive because that is what is fair to the horse. We don't take shortcuts..And no chasing a result that the horse is not physically or mentally ready for. The horses that come through this program are better off for it, not just better performing. That distinction matters enormously to Emily, and it should matter to you too.

how we work together

Our process to make this easy for you and us.

01

reach out

Call or fill out the contact form. Tell Emily about your horse and what you're trying to achieve. No pitch, no pressure.

02

consultation

Emily meets you and your horse in person. She assesses where the horse is, gets a feel for the partnership, and asks the right questions.

03

the program

A structured plan is built around your specific horse, your goals, and a realistic timeline. You know exactly what is happening and why.

04

progress

The work begins. Regular updates, honest conversations, and results that go further than you expected when you started.

Emily isn’t just a great trainer - and she is - but she has helped me think like a trainer myself. Rather than spoon feeding me exercises, she gets thinking through what will help the horse and try exercises under her supervision.

My confidence has increased tremendously because she has helped fill my toolbox. When I got back in the saddle after three kids, I just wanted to have fun and be held accountable as a rider by a proper dressage trainer. Emily saw more in myself than I could and has helped me start working on my USDF Bronze. I am so grateful to have Emily in my corner. She can help guide you on your journey towards your goals - and beyond, if you’re willing to dream a little.

common questions

everything you

need to know

No gatekeeping. If you're coming from a referral or social media and aren't sure what to expect — these are the answers to the questions we hear most.

Do I need to be an experienced rider to work with you?

Not at all. Some of my favourite clients are people who rode years ago, life got in the way, and they're finding their way back to horses. Others are total beginners who just know they want to do this properly from the start. What matters is that you're genuinely interested in understanding your horse, not just going through the motions. If you have that, we'll figure out the rest together.

What's the difference between full training and part training?

Full training means I'm working with your horse every day. You're still involved and updated regularly, but the day-to-day is on me. Part training is more of a partnership where I ride and train on a set schedule and you ride on the other days. Most of my clients prefer part training because they want to stay connected to their horse's progress and actually feel the difference themselves, not just watch it happen.

I've never put a horse in professional training before. What does that actually look like?

We start with a conversation about your horse, your goals, and where you're both at right now. Then I spend time with the horse to get a feel for them before we build a plan together. There's no dropping your horse off and hoping for the best. You'll know what we're working on, why we're working on it, and you'll see it happening. I think owners who understand what's going on make better decisions for their horses, so I try to keep you in the loop on everything.

Where are you based and how does it work logistically?

I'm based in Weatherford, Texas and work with clients across the greater DFW area. If you're local, great. If you're a bit further out, reach out anyway and we can talk through what makes sense. Horse people tend to travel for the right trainer and I'm happy to have that conversation.

What if I just want to reach out and ask a question before committing to anything?

Please do. I'd rather have a quick conversation and tell you honestly whether I think I can help than have someone sit on the fence for months wondering. There's no pitch, no pressure. Just reach out through the form or call me directly and we'll talk it through.
