the woman behind it all
Emily Spicer is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medallist trained to FEI levels, based in Weatherford, Texas. She has spent her career developing horses and riders with a method built on understanding rather than force, and on results that last rather than ones that look good for a few months.
She is not for everyone. If you want shortcuts, she will tell you honestly. If you want to do this properly, there is nobody better in the DFW area.

Our process to make this easy for you and us.

reach out
Call or fill out the contact form. Tell Emily about your horse and what you're trying to achieve. No pitch, no pressure.

consultation
Emily meets you and your horse in person. She assesses where the horse is, gets a feel for the partnership, and asks the right questions.

the program
A structured plan is built around your specific horse, your goals, and a realistic timeline. You know exactly what is happening and why.

progress
The work begins. Regular updates, honest conversations, and results that go further than you expected when you started.
Emily isn’t just a great trainer - and she is - but she has helped me think like a trainer myself. Rather than spoon feeding me exercises, she gets thinking through what will help the horse and try exercises under her supervision.
My confidence has increased tremendously because she has helped fill my toolbox. When I got back in the saddle after three kids, I just wanted to have fun and be held accountable as a rider by a proper dressage trainer. Emily saw more in myself than I could and has helped me start working on my USDF Bronze. I am so grateful to have Emily in my corner. She can help guide you on your journey towards your goals - and beyond, if you’re willing to dream a little.
